Chief Executive Officer – VNA of Albany, Visiting Nurses Home Care, VNA Foundation

Sue is responsible for partnering with the Board of Directors in setting and executing the strategic direction and goals of Visiting Nurses Home Care and VNA. She has been with the organizations since 2010, and brings 30 years of home care and executive leadership experience, including CEO of VNA of Vermont and New Hampshire, and Vice President of Home and Community-Based Services at Elliot Health System. Beginning her home care career as a home care nurse, she has an appreciation and first-hand knowledge of the patient population, needs, and challenges.

In 2013, Sue spearheaded VNA of Albany’s service expansion from the three counties of Albany, Saratoga, and Rensselaer to include eight additional counties in the greater Capital Region, as well as the implementation of a state-of-the-art clinical information system for VNA and Visiting Nurses Home Care.

Sue holds a BSN and Masters of Business Administration, both from the State University of New York at Buffalo.  She has served on numerous community boards throughout her career.

Vice President/Chief Operating Officer – VNA of Albany, Visiting Nurses Home Care

Yabo joined VNA of Albany in August of 2018. She is responsible for the delivery of quality clinical care for all nursing, rehabilitation, social work, and home health aide services. Yabo develops innovative clinical models and programs to promote excellence in clinical practice, optimal patient outcomes, and successful positioning for new and innovative reimbursement models.

Yabo has worked in home care for over twenty years.

For sixteen of those years, she served in different leadership capacities with the Visiting Nurse Service of NY (VNSNY), the largest not-for-profit home health care organization in the United States.

The last position she held with VNSNY was Director of Quality Management Services, developing agency-wide educational programs for Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement. In addition to her extensive home care experience, Yabo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New York University, a Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix, and a Doctorate in Education/Nursing from Capella University.

Paul Rice, BBA, CFP

Chief Financial Officer – VNA of Albany, Visiting Nurses Home Care, VNA Foundation

Paul has been in the healthcare field for over 30 years, serving the last 15 years as a Director of Finance. Paul has extensive experience in financial management and analysis, strategic business planning, risk management and a thorough knowledge of the healthcare industry. He has been with the organizations since September 2016.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Siena College in Loudonville. Paul is also a Certified Financial Planner.

Seba Varughese, MBA

Vice President of Human Resources – VNA of Albany and Visiting Nurses Home Care

Seba plans, coordinates, and administers all human resource policies and procedures, and oversees HR activities including recruitment, benefits and compensation, employee relations and risk management.

She has more than ten years of experience in the Human Resources field, and has been working with the organization since 2013.

Seba holds a Bachelors’ degree in Science and a Masters of Business Administration in Human Resource Management from Bangalore University. She also holds memberships in the Society for Human Resource Management and the Capital Area Human Resource Association.

Gary Mott, DPT

Gary Mott, DPT

Director of Corporate Compliance – VNA of Albany, Visiting Nurses Home Care

Gary joined VNA of Albany in February of 2019 and brings several years of home care leadership experience in the areas of clinical management and quality. He is responsible for analyzing and developing policies and processes in order to assure compliance with meeting and maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards through compliance with all applicable laws in all actions regarding operation and delivery of services.

Gary has been in the healthcare field for over 20 years as a direct care clinician, clinical manager, and educator. He has developed fall prevention programs, served as Director of Rehabilitation, and regional trainer for educating others in regards to fall prevention. He holds a Doctoral degree in physical therapy from Sage Colleges in Troy.
