We’re here to help! Visiting Nurses Home Care is a NYS-licensed home care agency that has been providing professional home care services, including personal care aides, home health aides, licensed practical nurses, and registered nurses for Capital Region residents since 1988.
With headquarters in Albany, NY, and four local offices across the region to serve you, VNHC can provide care wherever and whenever you need it. Our professionals offer a variety of services, such as
- assistance with bathing
- meal preparation
- light housekeeping
- shopping/ running errands
- medication management
- laundry
- companionship
- personal grooming/dressing
- ambulation (walking)
- assistance with toileting
- Catheter/Ostomy care
You do not need a physician’s referral to begin receiving services through VNHC. After you contact us, our experienced service coordinators and nurses will assess your care needs and arrange for the appropriate level of staffing and home care services. Nursing supervisors oversee individual care plans and make visits to your home to ensure customer satisfaction and adjust the care plan if needed.
VNHC performs all of the necessary screening, hiring, scheduling, and payroll functions for its employees. Home care may be covered by insurance or can be privately paid.
In addition to home care, we also provides services under the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP), and are approved for service coordination and as a provider for the Nursing Home Transition and Diversion (NHTD)/Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Programs.
